The landmine is one of the most valuable but underused pieces of equipment in the weight room. If you’re not familiar, a landmine exercise refers to an angled barbell movement where one end of the barbell is on the ground and the opposite end is held by the lifter.  It is a great addition to a home gym that provides for many different movements.

This landmine works great! I have a Rogue 3″x3″ rack and it works perfectly on it. I did put two 5/8″ Zinc washers to go between the landmine/rack leg and between the lock pin/rack leg so I don’t scratch up my rack leg. I feel like the black powder coat of the landmine contacted the black powder coat of the rack leg may scratch them both since the landmine seems to slightly scratch itself when it makes the pivot motion.

I wrap the end of my barbell in a very thin t shirt before I slide my barbell into the landmine…kinda the same reason. I just don’t want my barbell to get scratched up. However, I haven’t tried putting the barbell in without anything though so it may actually not scratch it. It also seems to dampen to noise of the barbell too.

Overall, the landmine is great and I highly recommend it.
